The base station is the brain of the Gigaset Smart Home alarm system and is connected to your router via LAN connection. It connects the wireless sensors to the Gigaset app and the free Cloud service. Up to 48 sensors can be connected to the base station.

The door sensor indicates whether the door is open or closed. The advanced sensor can also recognize if the door is opening normally or if it is being forced by, for example, a fall or a crowbar. If the door is opened by a force, the alarm function will sound even if the alarm is not armed.

The infrared motion sensor detects when someone is walking in your house. It will not detect small pets up to 25 KG. The motion detector transmits the information to the app on your smartphone. When the system is in "away" mode, the alarm will sound.
