This Sensor Mat from NRS Healthcare is designed for use with the NRS Voice Alert Falls Prevention & Wandering Monitor and Anti-Tamper Nursecall Care Alarm (both items sold separately). It is ideal to use with an elderly person, someone with dementia or someone with special needs who is supported at home by a caregiver or family member. The Mat and the chosen alarm create an effective monitoring system that helps the caregiver ensure the safety of the person and helps to control the risk of falling or wandering. No installation is required: simply insert the sensor mat into the selected monitor unit using the included cable. The mat is then placed under a person when lying in bed or in a convenient place on the floor. The mat can be adjusted to trigger the alarm when the pressure is removed, for example when the person gets out of bed at night, when pressure is applied or when the mat is depressed. When the pressure on the sensor mat increases/drops, the alarm on the monitor unit is triggered that alerts a caregiver nearby that the person has fallen out of their bed or may be wandering. The mat is padded to make it comfortable when used under a person. It comes here in large size with a length of 76 centimeters (30 inches) and a width of 25 cm.
