Neon tubes can easily be replaced by modern LED tubes. The starter for fluorescent tubes acts as a "dummy" when retrofitted and closes the circuit of the old version. When operating the socket with an LED fluorescent tube or when converting to electronic ballasts, the old socket can be used inexpensively by the LED fluorescent tube starter. It should be ensured that only luminaires with KVG or VVG are used to ensure smooth operation. De-energize the old socket for use. Then remove the old tube and starter. Now insert the new LED fluorescent tube starter and equip it with a modern LED tube.
