Front-end Developer (React)

Job description

As a member of the Development team, you will work in an exciting and fast-paced start-up environment together with a highly skilled team.

As our new React developer, you are comfortable creating brand new features from scratch, together with our UX and Business teams.

You like to work in a dedicated (small) frontend team and take the lead when necessary.
Working closely with our Product owners, you will rapidly turn client needs and ideas into new features. The work created by you and your fast-growing team will be implemented within a very short time and will have an impact on the lives of millions of consumers and thousands of brands. Exciting stuff, right?

Your profile

You are a team player who loves learning from your talented colleagues. You can carry ideas from creation to implementation and share our passion for clean and well-tested software. At the end of the day, nothing makes you happier than seeing well written and high-quality front-end code.

You are a curious and fast learner that soaks up knowledge and new experiences like a sponge. You are comfortable working both the front- and back-end and will have no trouble creating brand new features from scratch, together with our UX and Business teams.

Responsibilities:

Engineer and develop our brand-new ecommerce storefront for web and mobile;
Building our design system with reusable components;
Setting up a robust and future-proof architecture and infrastructure;
Discuss company-wide choices with regards to the technology stack, architecture, infrastructure, and development processes;
Translating designs into high quality code.

Who are you?

You completed a relevant Bachelor or Master;
You are fluent in English;
You have multiple years (3+) of experience as a React developer;
You have set up production ready React frontend architectures with Redux and/or React Query;
We are looking for a great coder. You will work mainly with React, but we also appreciate experience in for example VueJS, C#, Python, Ruby on Rails;
Bonus: you have experience with React Native and Typescript;
Bonus: you have experience leading a small frontend team.
