Floating books – that is what makes the shelf bertolt so unique. bertolt is for all sorts of books, so it provides space for hard covers, paperbacks and art books – it seems that only the slender wooden frame is supporting the books hanging on the wall. The suspension made of steel is simply vanishing behind the books, so it seems as if the books are simply ‘floating’. The frames are made of domestic oak and stainless steel all manufactured in Hamburg.
