There is a cyclic charging process for older NiCd batteries available, with which the batteries are first discharged and then recharged to prevent the memory effect. NOTE: this is not necessary with NiMH rechargeable batteries or would only shorten the service life rather than lengthen it!

Old NiCd rechargeable batteries can usually be regenerated by discharging/charging cycles, but this does not work with NiMH rechargeable batteries because they do not have a memory effect. There is also a test function to check the battery capacity. Charging and discharging functions can be carried out simultaneously and independently in the different charging bays. During a charging or discharging process, the user is shown the most important process data in the respective display. This is the current in mA, the current battery voltage in V Volt, the charged or discharged capacity in mAh or Ah and the elapsed time in hours / minutes hh:mm. The quick charger is also equipped with a charging output for charging mobile phones, smartphones, iPhones or other USB devices, charging output 5 volts with a maximum charging current of 1A.
