Description

The BL28 LED is a new version of David Derksen's famous Brass Lights. The shape of the lamp is constructed by simply folding a 0.3 mm thin brass sheet: using an etching technique, the bending lines are inserted into the material, then folded and assembled by hand in Eindhoven. Whereas the original series of the Brass Lights use the more traditional E27 light sources, David created this new version of the lamp to meet current lighting design requirements. The new lamp therefore includes LED light and a diffuser that provides better and brighter light output, regardless of the shade colour. The LED driver is integrated into the lamp. The shape of the lamp has also been simplified and modernised, without losing the aesthetics and fragility of the original Brass Lights. The reflection of the surroundings in the shiny brass surfaces gives each facet its own colour tone, from dark gold to yellow to beige.
